Plants
We offer a wide
selection of plants, shrubs and trees, many of which we grow here in our County
Down nursery. Most visitors enjoy our popular favourites while others are
interested in new varieties - or even some of our more unusual varieties.
Among the favourites,
who can resist the Rhododendrons and Azaleas? These give such a wonderful
show faithfully every spring, along with hebes, viburnums and acers.
We know that many of our customers are avid plant collectors, always looking
for something that is just a little bit different. Examples of plants that
meet this need include Cornus kousa 'Satomi' Enkianthus campanulatus, Rhododendron
'Peeping Tom' and Acer japonicum 'Aconitifolium'.
Like most keen gardeners, we at Saintfield Nurseries are always on the lookout
for new varieties of plants, shrubs and trees - as well as roses and basket
and patio plants. New varieties this year include Rosa 'Rhapsody in Blue'
(rose of the Year 2003), Clematis 'Paradise Queen', Clematis montana 'Sunrise'
Geum 'Flames of Passion' and Lilium 'Lollypop'.
We also stock a wide range of summer bedding and basket plants during the
season, perfect for summer displays.
