A native to the British Isles Betula pendula or Silver Birch is a beautiful tree with graceful weeping tips to its branches. Silver bark cracks and takes on contrasting darker colours with age. Leaves are small and bright green and turn buttery yellow in autumn. Catkins are produced from late winter to spring which are enjoyed by birds.
